Wait, The Great Khali’s Manager Was Arrested For What?

Rewari police in India booked The Great Khali’s manager in jail on May 17 for allegedly attacking a shop keeper.

Amit Swami and others allegedly barged into the Rewari shop of Ajay Kumar on May 16, dragged the shop owner outside and assaulted him. Kumar claims Swami assaulted him because he filed a Right To Information application. The shop owner did so at the behest of members of Swami’s family, who claim he’s been causing them problems. They wanted Kumar to settle their domestic dispute.

Kumar wanted precise details about a press release he read indicating Swami recently helped the police catch some criminals. This is because Kumar felt Swami, a member of the police coordination committee, was misusing his influence. Swami was arrested based on this report.

Swami manages Khali whenever he wrestles in India.
